If you’re craving authentic dumplings, this is a must-stop. Everything is made fresh to order, and it shows. We stumbled upon this spot on our way to the Denver airport, tucked into a strip mall just off I-70. Don’t let the location fool you! The second you walk in, the smell tells you you’re exactly where you should be. We all ordered the $20 lunch special, which includes one appetizer, one main, and soup. Our table mostly ordered the same combo: cucumber salad to start, the Specialty Xiao Long Bao soup dumplings, and soup…miso, hot and sour, and egg drop. The cucumber salad was crisp, refreshing, and addictive, especially with their house chili oil, which delivers the perfect level of heat (don’t skip it). The specialty soup dumplings came with one of each: Original, Szechuan, Cheese, Spinach, Mushroom, Corn, Prawn, and Crab Meat. Nearly all were excellent, my only miss was the cheese soup dumpling, which just didn’t hit like the rest. The soups were all comforting and flavorful, rounding out the meal perfectly. Only criticism is the egg drop needed a little of the chili oil. I wish they had this chili oil packaged for sale.If you’re passing through the area on I-70, this place is absolutely worth the stop.
Wow! Our first time having soup dumplings and they were great. We also had the pork belly noodles, and they were so flavorful. We finished with the Sesame buns - a new favorite! Excellent service- our server taught us how to eat the soup dumplings correctly and guided us with the dessert buns. We are just traveling through but if we lived here this world be a regular spot to eat.
Absolutely amazing. The service was on point, the staff was killing it. The food was divine. The location was placed perfectly and parking was great! They are super efficient and work well with the space they have. The dumplings were perfectly cooked, very savory and not gummy.
Excellent service, fast and delicious handmade food. Quite a few vegan options as well! The mapo tofu could've had more of a kick to it, but the green beans and veggie bao were phenom.
This place was packed on a Sunday evening, but we got seated immediately and service was generally fast. Seating is a bit tight in certain areas. We got the original xiao long bao, BBQ pork buns, and pepper chicken. Xiao long bao and BBQ pork buns were both good, but we really loved the pepper chicken - very flavorful and fresh tasting. Nice balance. Definitely want to try the specialty xiao long bao next time so we can try more flavors!
My boyfriend and I started coming here in October, we come about 1-2 times a week, and have not had a bad experience. The staff is super friendly and helpful, and the food is incredible. The soup dumplings are juicy and flavorful, the pork and chive dumplings are rich and tender. We always start with the cucumber salad, which is such a crisp and refreshing staple. Their miso soup is very flavorful, and when I get their fabulous lunch special the staff has no issue packing it up to go for me. The dessert buns are fluffy and sweet, and it has been hard for me to find red bean buns in this area. Theirs exceed expectations. We will definitely keep coming here!
EXCELLENT!!!! We had never tried soup dumplings before! The soup is IN the dumplings!!!! 😲🤯 The egg drop soup was by far the best we’ve ever had. No joke. Husband and I both were like ‘Awww😕’ when we were done with our cups! 😂 Everyone was so friendly and they took the time to explain everything. Like, the entire menu was gone over with us. We were then able to make excellent and extremely delicious choices❤️ It’s a bummer it’s on the opposite side of town from us but I expect we’ll be finding ‘reasons’ to visit. 😄 You should hop on over to Dumpling Bay and fill up on yumminess and friendliness!! Hurry! Go!!!
Super nice staff, delicious food, and the seating is super cute. It has been surprisingly crowded whenever I've gone so you might want to look into getting a reservation. I went another time and just got it to-go and it was delicious and did not take too long, especially considering every table was full. The pic is from my left over Mapo tofu order which was delicious. My sister got the chicken fried rice and it was one of the best I've ever had, highly recommend.
We had an excellent experience at Dumpling Bay. The waitstaff was extremely friendly. It’s really wonderful that they make the dumplings behind a see-through glass partition so you can see the process. The food came out extremely quickly and hot. We ordered the cucumber salad, the chilled tofu in sauce, hot and sour soup, egg drop soup (definitely add chili oil to the egg drop soup), shredded pork and garlic sauce. That comes with a small bowl of white rice. Highly recommend!
Dumpling Bay was a great place for soup dumplings and authentic Chinese food. The restaurant is clean, bright, and the staff were friendly. The service was quick as well. The menu has a nice variety of dumplings, noodles, and traditional chinese dishes. My favorite dish was the angus beef with broccoli. The beef was great quality and so yummy. The soup dumplings were hot and delicious with a flavorful broth inside. The green beans were tender but still had a crunch. The pork dumplings in chili oil were flavorful. The stir fried noodles with pork belly were decent as well. The only dish that was disappointing was the shrimp shumai. It was so bland and small. The cartoon buns were filled with egg custard and were delish.
